Knowing Stakeholder Kickoff Workshop Granollers

First of all, it should be mentioned that the participation in the workshop was very high considering that
Granollers has a population of 60,000 .
The initial results of the workshop has allowed to:

• Start the pariticipatory process with internal Granollers city council) and external stakeholders
  (representatives of diverse interest groups of the city) and set the basis for further discussions
• Validate the objectives of the KNOWING pilot in Granollers
• Explain next steps in participatory process timeline and why they are key stakeholders in the
  KNOWING project at a local and regional scale. Because with their collaboration, Granollers
  demo will identify:
  • Planning priorities in relation to the Municipal Civil Protection Master Plan (DUPROCIM)
    regarding the risk of fluvial and rainwater floods.
  • Conditions of exposure and vulnerability of critical service infrastructures located in
    flood zones (for example, sewerage and water distribution).
  • Conditions of exposure and vulnerability of the most vulnerable socio-economic sectors
    located in flood zones.
  • Strategic planning visions to integrate
    principles and measures of mitigation and
    adaptation to the climate with a specific focus on areas with high vulnerability due to
    floods (fluvial and pluvial).
